Monogrammed Burlap Vase

This is a post I did last June. I'm showing it to you again because Target is carrying the little seed bags again in their dollar section. Run out and get some!

A monogrammed burlap vase.

I found this bag of wildflower seeds in the dollar section at Target. A little lightbulb went off in my head telling me what I could do with it.

Here are the supplies you will need:
-A very fine tip pen (mine's from the scrapbooking section at Michael's)
-A Sharpie
-A chipboard letter (also in scrapbooking section)
-something to hold flowers (such as an empty can)
-a piece of cardboard or something similar (not shown)
I took a piece of cardboard and stuck it inside the bag, this is so the pen doesn't bleed through and so you have a steady surface. I traced the chipboard letter with the fine tipped pen. I then filled in the letter with the sharpie. I free handed the two circles on the sides of the letter.

There you have it!

  1. Hi Lisa, Great idea, here! I would have never thought of this and it's awesome! I need to get more creative...these Met Monday posts just amaze and inspire me to see things in a different way! I love anything monogrammed!
Regarding the word verif...so far I haven't gotten any spam but if I do, I'll just go back to moderating the comments. I've never used the word verification but I used to moderate the comments. If I saw any spam, I just deleted it and it never saw the light of day. I love foiling those spammers. :-) So you can remove the word verif but still prevent the spam from publishing. I'm really liking not moderating the comments, though...I hadn't realized how nice it would be to just let them publish. If I start getting spam, I'll have to go back to moderating though.
Thanks for such a great Met Monday...love this!

  11. Very cute, Gotta love the dollar section at Target! Reading the comment from Susan at Between Naps on the Porch I wanted to tell you I don't moderate my comments or use word verif and I have NEVER had a problem. If something shows up that you don't want you can always delete the comment. It is so much easier for people to leave comments without it.
