o.w.

These photos are from a trip our family took to Laughlin Nevada at the end of March. Laughlin is at the southern tip of Nevada on the Colorado river. If you cross over the river you are in Arizona. There was so much in bloom, it was beautiful.

The bougainvillea was amazing.

The Colorado river.

Sandcastle fun.

This plant reminded me of fireworks.

Here is the picture that I took of the orange flower...boooring.

Here's the same flower. This photo was taken by my 9 year old son. He did an AMAZING job.

A lovely palm.

These trees had really lovely, exotic looking flowers. The next three photos show close ups of the flowers. If anyone knows the name of this plant, please let me know.

Pretty in pink.

Thank you Susan for hosting Outdoor Wednesday.

  6. Dear Lisa,
    Happy Outdoor Wednesday
What beautiful pictures...I like all the different textures of the rocks, grasses, and flowers. Your son did an awesome job taking his picture....here in oklahoma we have a county fair and then a state fair-I don't know if you have that but if you did he would have a good chance of winning his age bracket
    enjoyed your blog-
    hugs and blessings

  14. The fireworks plant is called 'cigar plant' up here in Ohio.

Great blog entry.... I am regretting that I didn't buy one of those annuals this year after looking at your 'explosive' photos!

    Happy Summer Garden TiME!
