I made this mirror before I ever knew there was such a thing as blogging, so I don't have a before photo. It was an ugly mirror I got at a garage sale that had blue ducks stenciled on it. I painted the mirror cream, decoupaged on the roses using wrapping paper that had Pierre-Joseph Redoute roses on it. Applied a crackle finish and then went over the whole thing with an antiquing glaze.

You can see the crackle finish in these two photos.

I made this clock for my Mom in a very similar way. I used a wood plate from Michael's, painted it white. Decoupaged the roses this time they came from drawer liners that had Pierre-Joseph Redoute roses on it. I applied the crackle glaze and then the antique medium. I was afraid it was to dark and my mom likes white things so I then watered down some white paint and white washed the whole thing. I then attached the clock kit from Michael's and decided I will never make a clock again, to much work!
Oh Lisa! This is Lovely! Well Done!
