Saturday Nite Special!

I found these two "things" at one of our local thrift stores. I don't know what they are.

They were only 75 cents a piece. So I decided to try and make them into candle holders.

First I gave them many coats of cream paint.

Then I watered down some gray paint and brushed that on. Once that was dry, I sanded the edges. Then I covered the edges with a stain pen and then immediately wiped it off.

I love how it turned out. It has a beachy, driftwood look to it.
Wow !!!!! how gorgeous they look :) very clever and what a good find.

Oh, you've gotta love taking something that had an unknown purpose and turning it into something pretty and practical! Great vision!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I'd love to have a DI here! I think they were originally tealight holders. The holes in the middle of the bigger indented holes are from the special tool used on it. Some get filled, some not.
ReplyDeleteI like how you made it look more classic with that new color. Pretty!
