There is a fun party going on this week-end at
Funky Junk Interiors. This party is showcasing the vignettes around your home. Some people, I suppose, are naturally talented at creating vignettes, but my guess is that most of us have to work at it. Like any skill you get better as you keep trying. I am definitely still learning, here are some of the attempts around my home.

A Fall tray I put together.

The top of my china cabinet.

On one of the shelves inside the cabinet.

In my living room. Confession time.....this layering came about from me running out of places to put things!

This shelf in my family room is across from the couch. It makes me happy everytime I look at it.

This used to be a favorite vignette in my bathroom, but the pitcher has been broken since this photo was taken. sigh.

An arrangement in our old guestroom (which is now our son's nursery).

In Grant's room I've arranged some things from a trip we took to London years ago and I've added some things from local antique stores.

Also in Grant's room. Sports memorabilia looks so much better grouped together than scattered around the room.

This photo is
not from my house. It's from the latest issue of
Country Living Magazine. Now this to me is an example of a vignette put together by a highly skilled person. It is amazing!
Wow.. you've been busy!! Those white accents just pop against the calmer tones. Love it! I see you slid in a tray thing too... aren't trays the greatest invention?!?
ReplyDeleteOh and that rust looking plate? That baby has my rusty fingerprints on it. Boy oh boy that's cool.
Thanks for linking up to the party!

Ha, you beat me. After coming home from a school event with the kids I thought I'd stay up and amuse myself by trying to be the first to link up!!
ReplyDeleteThe cubs! Yeah...(used to live a couple blocks away from Wrigley Field), fun! Everything looks great, and of course I love the mirror from the Country Living Magazine.

Great stuff in great vignettes. I loved the cloche on a book - I keep forgetting that a cloche doesn't always need to be on a plate. Thanks for the reminder. Sally
ReplyDeleteI love your stuff! Sweetie we all layer!! hehehe
ReplyDeleteHugs, Lisa
I'm glad you ran out of places to put things because that's my favourite one. I love that green tile. Thanks for sharing your beautiful vignettes.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Carolyn. I like them all but the one with the green pressed tin tile is my favourite. I like how you incorporated many different textured pieces. Thanks for sharing and I would love if you stopped by mine.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! So many pretty things!
ReplyDeleteThose are some beauties! Too bad about that pitcher. I would sigh as well.
ReplyDeleteHard to pick a favorite, but I really love the top of your china cabinet. You have such a great eye!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I found you via the vignette party, nice to meet you!
All the best,
Anne
I love your vignettes! Great layering and I like how you used your trays in them too.
ReplyDeleteLove your post, so glad to have found you! I love all the white too. It just pops!
ReplyDeleteYou truly decorate beautifully!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is in your living room. I really love that bird tray! Is it the one from Pier One?
What a nice collection of vignettes! My favorite is the one on top of your china cabinet - I am a sucker for black and white. Love the little red shelf too.
ReplyDeleteYou have some great vignettes! I love all of your "layers"! :)
ReplyDeleteMy first time observing vignettes... you did a wonderful job. Great variety of items.
ReplyDeleteAll your vignettes are stunning! I love how you layered.
ReplyDeleteLovely :) I like the one with the nest the best!
ReplyDeleteI love your sweet vignettes.
ReplyDeleteMy fave is the one with the bird tray in the background and books.

Man, you got the vignette thing down! So many great things to see. I'd be way sad if I had a pitcher like yours and it broke...it certainly was a beautiful set up.
