I'm going to be showing you how to make these
very inexpensive, but cutie patootie tree ornaments!

Start out with these cheap, cheap, cheap wooden tree's from the craft store.

I had to pry the star off of mine because you need to have a flat surface for this project.

Paint the edges. You can be really sloppy (yeah!) because only the edge will show.

Grab some scrapbook papers. I chose reds and greens.

Trace the tree on the back of the paper and cut it out. Then simple Mod Podge it on to the tree (front and back). Poke a new hole and put some ribbon or string through it for hanging.

That's it! So easy.

Oh, don't forget to use a different paper for the trunk of your tree.

You could also string these onto a garland.

Put them on a wreath.

Hand them from a burlap stocking or use them as a gift tag. The list goes on and on!
Adorable! It's my bet that Mod Podge did VERY well in 2009. You can do so much with the stuff!
ReplyDeleteI love how you can add your own flavour to those ornaments. Very sweet, fun and festive!
Thanks for linking up to SNS #10!

Very cute and original. You could even use Christmas wrapping paper.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! They would be cute to use as gift tags. Fun project with kids too.
ReplyDeleteYay Mod Podge! Those are so cute. . .
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I'm sure you could even add years or names to these, too!
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable. I would love to have you post this to my Monday party (up on Sun Nights)
ReplyDeleteI have had so many Google problems-and it isn't over-Google has no idea how to solve the problem.
Sorry I haven't been by much-I decided after weeks and weeks of non-stop Google issues, I am throwing my hands up and making much needed visits.
I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas and hope you can come by for a visit. I will continue posting, even if it doesn't show up in the Reader.
