Part two of my guest bedroom tour we started last Last Pink Saturday. When I purchased the quilt for the bed it was at a bargain price, yeah. The only problem was it didn't come with any pillow shams. So I was on the hunt to find something that would coordinate with the bedding.
I eventually found these shams, but they were a little too pink.
A little too bright.
So I tea stained them. It gave them a softer, more vintage look.
Here is the bed. I love the mix of fabrics used in the quilt.
This weekend I am showing you part of my girlie, girl, pink guest room. Next week I'll show you the rest of the room. Then the guest room will be no more. It is turning into little Levi's nursery and he doesn't do pink. :)
I love this metal sign.
Here is a close up of the rose. You will be seeing a lot of close ups in this post.
Isn't this coat rack so sweet.
A tray that sits on the nightstand.
The lamp and lampshade are from Target.
The lampshade is trimmed with beads.
On the nightstand shelf.
Above the bed.
The flowers were orange when I bought these, but I painted them pink.
Another peek into the putting together of Levi's woodland themed nursery. I bought four vintage postcards from ebay. I will matte and frame them for the room. They are by author and illustrator Racey Helps, born in England in 1913. His work was published from 1946 through about 1970. I love all his cute little animals playing games together.
I don't know the official name for this one, but I call it London Bridges.
There was an event at Grants school yesterday called muffins with mom (earlier this year they did donuts with dad) . Which meant I had to get the three of us looking presentable and to the school by 8:30 a.m., it was difficult, but I did it! Yeah me! When it was time for me to go, Grant gave me a kiss good-bye.on the lips.in front of other kids!!! I was in shock. It was so sweet. I was so glad that I went.
I thought I'd give you a little peek into the set up of Levi's nursery. I am ordering a lot of stuff online, so it's taking a while to get it set up.
I got this bouncy chair for him. Although it won't actually go in the nursery, it shows you what the theme of the nursery will be. Drumroll please.........woodland creatures.
Here is Mr. Levi in his new chair.
You can take the piece with toys dangling on it on or off.
