Mercury Glass

I have a small collection of mercury glass. I'm sure it's not true mercury glass, but stuff that has been made to look like it. Either way I just love it!

I bought the large piller candle holders at an after Christmas sale at Target. I thought they would go nicely with the candle sticks I already had. I was so surprised when I got home and found that they are very different colors. But I like it. The comtrast of light and dark keeps things interesting.

I also bought a bunch of these mercury glass birds at the after Christmas clearance sale. I plan to give one or two away this Spring (along w/ some other goodies) when I have my blog giveaway.

I actually paid full price for this fleur de lis beauty. Shocking isn't it! This is my favorite. I got it when I was on vacationing in California. It has a tealight candle inside and I love the way the light reflects against it.

Gypsy Fish

I am so glad Gypsy fish is going to continue the silver party once a month. I just hope I remember!

    I don't think it would be nearly as attractive if they were all the same color. It's great.
    I don't have any mercury glass. I have the equivalent in gold but what's that called???
    Anyway, I love the look.

  3. Love it all - have you seen that post from DIY blog - she has it on her sidebar (the left side, I think) where she dose a really good imitation!

    I bought the same bird too at the after Christmas sale!
