Yee Ha!

Here's proof that I will paint absolutely anything.....

Including a cowboy hat!!

Here's how the hat started out. I picked up this scary thing at a garage sale. I bought it from my neighbor, who is a good friend of mine, so I know she doesn't have cooties. ;)

I spritzed it with flat white spray paint because I still wanted the straw to show through. I then applied glaze. WHY am I painting a cowboy hat, you may be asking. Because my sweet little Levi turned 1 year old this month and we are throwing him a rootin' tootin' cowboy birthday bash this week-end! So the "new" shabby chic hat is for me.

  1. That is cute! And at first I thought you painted the skull and crossbones on it and I was a little skeered! ;D

You are going to be the best looking sheriff around!

  2. Now THAT's what I call "vision". I don't have that. You go girl!
    Happy Birthday Levi!!!!

  3. I bet you'll be the prettiest Sheriff in them there parts, too!

  4. You'll be a rootin' tootin' cutie patootie!

What a great idea. Happy Birthday, Levi!

  5. So cute painted white. Love it. Hugs, Marty

  6. I love your painted cowboy hat. I just recently bought me a pair of cowboy boots. Don't ask me where I'm going to wear them. I have no idea! Thanks so much for your sweet comments. If there's one thing we love more here in the South than sweet tea, it's big hair!

  7. Oh Happy 1st Birthday to your sweet little guy!!! Love the hat, you amaze me all the time with your vision and creativity Lisa! Have a fabulous time at the party:) ~ Tina x

  8. Well done! Enjoy your new hat!
    Hugs, Lisa

  9. I know your little Levi is going to love you in your new hat!

Great job. Who knew you could paint a straw hat.
