I've shown this bathroom before and I haven't made many changes, but the photos were very dark because there are no windows in the room. I now know how to lighten up photos on picnic (love picnic) so I thought I'd post my bathroom again.
I love pedestal sinks. Even though it means no storage, I just love the way they look.
I stuffed the bottom of this basket with newspaper to raise the candles up. Once the candles were in the basket I filled the edges in with crinkly brown paper.
The candles smell really good. Always a plus in a bathroom.
Can I just mention how difficult it is to take pictures of this bathroom. It's small, dark, and full of mirrors. So I am standing in the shower as I take this photo. You can see the open shower door and a peek of me in the mirror. Does my top make me look fat? Don't answer that!
I love these towels. I bought them at Target years ago and they are starting to fade. Of course Target doesn't carry them anymore. If anyone out there knows where I can get some towels with scrolly stuff at the bottom please let me know!
I bought this faux bois trash can from Ballard Design many years ago.
My beloved botanical fern prints. I found them online and then bought the frames from Aaron Bros. I waited until they had their buy one, get one for a penny sale.

Very pretty bathroom. Love the colors. No...the shirt doesn't make you look fat. :)
ReplyDeletesuch a pretty room!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the pedestal sinks! Love the fern prints. Years ago I snipped my own ferns in the yard, sprayed the back with adhesive, and stuck to mat board. When framed they looked very cool. They lasted about 2 years before they needed to be changed out.
ReplyDeleteI love picnik too. It makes all my pictures look better.
ReplyDeleteYour bathroom is so lovely. It just looks so clean and organic. I think my favorite is the trash can. very cool.
So pretty, Lisa! I like all your twiggy baskety type stuff. That's right up my alley as well.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried picnik. Is it better than Picasa?

I love the way you've displayed your candles. I think this shade of green is almost exactly what color our living room is.

Hi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your advice on my photos, tried it but they're still posting sideways, so frustrating!! I've been on blogger help and everyone seems to have the same issue but not much solution. I guess I can try editing them in picnik and then bring them back in, but honestly I don't usually have the time to do that when I have a few moments to sit down and post. Hopefully blogger will fix the bug soon!
have a great weekend, your bathroom looks just fab, very peaceful color palette:-)

I love this bathroom. I love the green and all the natural elements.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteI really like the picture frames that your fern pictures are in. They look excellent quality...and a nice colour too!
Isn't it a total nightmare taking pictures in small rooms? I wonder if a wide-angled camera helps.
I've got one on my Christmas wishlist. I hope Santa is feeling kind this year!!

Hi Lisa!
ReplyDeleteLove that green on the walls! I have a similar color in our current home right now (that we will be leaving soon :(. Cant remember the name but I think its "whispering" something?!
And I know what you mean about the pedestal sink - my husband was like "do you really want a pedestal sink? Where are you going to put all your crap?" Haha...silly husband :)
That waste basket is so cool too!
So glad you found my blog and giveaway.
Cheers -
