I hope all my fellow American blogging buddies had a yum-tastic Thanksgiving!
Our family had a wonderful day with friends.
Are you as full as I am?
To my international blogging buddies, hope you're having a great day!
Now that Thanksgiving is over I can officially show Christmas photos with no one getting mad at me, right?!
I am so happy when some of the radio stations change to all Christmas music all the time.
It's the most wonderful time of the year y'all!!
I fell in love with these photos from Woman's Day magazine.
Christmas decorating that has a homespun look to it and yet still very elegant.
I'm doing something different this year at my house.
I'm decorating for Christmas with a lot of white, silver, rustic wood and evergreens.
I'm pretty excited about it and hope it turns out nice.
How cute and easy is this!
I'm thinking maybe I should try this red and white look next Christmas.
Yes, that's how sick I am.
I've already started thinking of how to decorate for next year!!
(God Jul means Merry Christmas in case you were wondering)
Simple, but so sweet and pretty.
Red and white, like a wonderful candy cane.
Now I'm off to hit a few black Friday sales!

Love these photos. I'm kind of thinking about next years' Christmas too. I'm going to do my usual big vintage explosion this year...but thinking a simplified one next year.
ReplyDeleteI always like those simple decorations in other people's houses. I remember my neighbor who used to do her Christmas decor kind of like the pictures you showed. Red and white decorations all over the house. She picked one kind of ornament to put all over her tree, and all her gifts were wrapped with brown paper and raffia bows.
ReplyDeleteI tried to stick to one color scheme one year, but by the end of that season, I realized I got bored with that very quickly. I like color for the holidays and started adding more colors by the end of the season.
Still I love looking at pictures like that, even if it isn't practical for me.
Such beautiful photos!!! Love the red and white
ReplyDeleteYes I had a fantabulous Thanksgiving!
Off to join you at the sales
Hugs

I'm liking that red and white homespun look too - very much! And photos from Woman's Day - who knew? Thanks for sharing all the luscious ideas...
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! I am so like you, I am already thinking of what I can do next year too!! I did a lot of evergreen and wood too. Went for the country/natural look this year! Can't wait to see your decor!!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking about keeping things a little more simple this year too.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking a smaller tree and not the huge nine foot I usually put up.
My head spins with ideas and these photos sure inspire me.
Can't wait to see more of your Christmas decor.
hugs

What pretty photos...they kind of have me thinking that I should have used some red this year. I'm going a bit natural with white and evergreen too :)
ReplyDeleteI am obesses with red and white for christmas. Have been for years. I plan to add a lot more white and silver with year. I added a touch of it last year and really liked it.
ReplyDeleteHappy decorating!
