White & Bright

Happy new year everyone!!
I hope your 2011 is filled with hope, health, and happiness!
I thought I'd kick the new year off right on this Ol' blog by showing some gorgeous white rooms.

Do want to hear about my wild and crazy new years eve?
I stayed home with my family.
Pretty wild, eh.
Maybe not so wild, but pretty wonderful!

I made fried rice with thick cut bacon in it for dinner.
Sooooo yummy!
We drank Squirt soda too.
Which was a treat because we don't normally keep soda in the house.

For dessert we had fortune cookies dipped in peppermint flavored dark chocolate.
They were so, so, so, yummy!!!
I got them half off with all the Christmas goodies at Target.

I know for a fact that a BIG change is happening to Fern Creek Cottage this year.
I'm not talking about the blog, but our actual home.
Sorry, but I'm keeping you in suspense a little while longer.
Stay tuned. :)

And as for Fern Creek Cottage the blog?
The month of January will feature lots of projects and tutorials I've been working on.
It will be (trumpet sounds) ..........
The month of Gray and White!!!!

If you are interested, the link for the fried rice recipe will be on my facebook page.

  2. I haven't had Squirt soda in soo long! Love your white & bright image shares.. I was just saying to my husband last night that the first thing I am going to do when I get my first career job after the kids are older that I'm going to rip out everything on our floor and put in natural, smooth, light.. light.. wood planked floors.. JUST like the ones in those photos on this post! ;) Love those! The Sappo Hill soap is excellent for children & babies.. I use it on my sensitive skinned kiddos as well.. I just love it! Can't wait to follow all your exciting plans for the new year! Happy 2011~ xx

  8. Love me some white! Your NYE still sounds better than mine. Since we don't have TV, we found a Denver station broadcasting the Times Square ball drop - 2 hours early. Then we had leftovers. LOL! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us in 2011!

My New Years eve was dinner out with good friends and then home early to watch movies and share a glass of wine with my sweet husband. Wonderful evening...quiet, peaceful and joy filled!

  15. Happy New Year to also! I love squirt soda. Haven't had it in years though.

I'm excited to see your post on gray and white! I like griege too. It's a great neutral that makes virtually every color pop against it.
