Valentine's with pink and aqua

It all started with me crushin' on this image from the Graphics Fairy.

It inspired a whole Valentine's tabletop done in aqua and pink.

I used a heart punch on two pieces of scrapbook paper.
A soft blue page covered with lovely script and
a pale pink page with darker pink swirls.

I bought a piece of ruffly trim to form the base of my garland.
I then used a scrapbooking product called Zots to adhere the hearts onto the trim.
Zots are super sticky so the hearts will stay up, but I can remove them later if I want.

I also scattered the hearts on the tabletop.

I made tissue paper pom poms by cutting out circles of tissue paper.
I then stuck three circles onto a stryofoam ball using stick pins.
The colors are showing up darker in the photo than they actually are.

Some pale pink flowers in my postcard pots.

I was too cheap to go buy new white pillar candles so I covered some candles I had in white tissue paper.
I then glued on the beautiful cupid image.

My blackboard with part of one of our families favorite verses.
Proverbs 3:5

I also taped some hearts onto the back of the tags I put on these baskets at Christmas time.
Much to my surprise my toddler never pulled the tags off the baskets!

I don't use much blue in the house, but I'm really enjoying the color combo of blue with pink.

Sending my *love* to all of you!

  1. the candles are a great idea!

  2. Don't you love the "Graphics Fairy"? Such amazing clip art! Your little V-day vignette is so cute! Love the Chalkboard and verse, too! I really want to make one of these chalkboards. I can't find the right sized frame or the right price... I'm cheap :) ~Michelle

  3. Why thank you! Love the hearts too!!

  4. it's fun to think 'out of the box'. Good for you!

  5. I so love that blackboard (and what it says!) A favorite saying of ours too! Love the bench with the baskets! Love the hearts...I pretty much just love it all!! =) It's great to open up a blog and just get so excited as you're scrolling down!!! Thank you for sharing!!! =)

  6. What a pretty heart garland! I love the soft pastel colors! :) I've used the Basil dish washing soap before. Yes, TJ Maxx and Marshalls (I have a Marshalls close) is a great place to find things and Mrs. Meyer's, too. Once I found a whole Gingerbread cleaning kit by MM for like $4. I've found Martha Stewart punches and her craft line clearanced out there also! Oh I can relate - I have one wall in my dining room that has circles drawn on it with clear nail polish. I have flat paint and it is very hard to get marks off my walls - magic eraser just strips away the paint. They did that nauty teamwork together about 1.5 years.. but they are listening better now. I have that same exact thermostat on my wall, hee hee - at least it's white! ;) Take good care!

  7. A perfect Valentine vignette! :)
