Pretty much whenever I see a taupe (greige?) room, I fall in love.
The color just feels good to me.
Most of my house is painted taupe and I've never grown tired of it.
Not even a little bit.
This gorgeous room has a lot of texture which keeps a monochromatic room from looking boring.
~
BTW: I'm thinking of getting a padded fabric headboard.
If you have one, how do you like it? Pros and cons?
I am head over heels for this table runner. It is so very pretty!
I am also loving the mix of rustic table with formal chairs.
It's so hard (for me) to pull off a look like this.
Then we have the really casual (ha ha) breakfast room.
Someday I would love to have a sparkly chandelier.
They grays here are dreamy.
I love the big art piece.
This is something I've been thinking a lot about lately.
What are some really great looking BIG art pieces that I can bring into my own home?
They make such a statement.
Have you noticed that this home is just filled with pretty chairs?
I've been scouring Craigslist trying to find cane back chairs, but so far no luck.
They even have a gorgeous chair in the bathroom!
I can just imagine the wife saying to her husband....
"don't sit on my chair, don't drip on my chair, don't even look at it!"
Such unusual seating in the kitchen, but I'll bet it's comfy.
This whole house is Fab!
Having said that, this is my least favorite room in the house.
It's very beautiful, no doubt.
Just a little too traditional for my taste.
p.s. check out the cool ceiling.
Anyhoo......
Happy Sunday peeps!

Those rooms are all lovely, especially the breakfast room with the chandelier! And I love the word 'greige' LOL.
ReplyDeletebeautiful home. So interesting to have not have curtains in the bathroom
ReplyDeleteOh goodness- what absolutely beautiful inspiration photos! I adore that dining space.and the bathroom. and the hallway and the- well- it's all lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteGreige... I love that! I now know there is a name for it :)Beautiful and serene home! The living room ceiling is amazing! I think if a few elements (ie: rug) were removed the room would flow with the house better.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday! :)
That's a lovely home, I would just love to be able to have the fresh cut hydrangeas everywhere! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way, I love looking at rooms with color but the ones that really speak to me are always the neutral ones.
ReplyDeletePretty inspiration for this Sunday!

What beautiful inspiration photos Lisa. They are all so serene. I like things neutral too...it's very calming and I don't seem to every tire of it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful home with so many great ideas to take away from it. I love the light, bright feel of the rooms with pops of color here and there. Makes my heart pitter patter!
ReplyDeleteI think you should go for the tuffed headboard. I don't have one but have always liked the look.
Beautiful images Lisa, I love the neutrals and that kitchen with the comfy benches are perfect, I would love something like that. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the padded fabric headboard, I think it would be beautiful!
I totally agree with you about taupe! I never tire of it! I think my favourite image is the dining room with the rustic table and elegant chairs! So lovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty, pretty pictures! Why is it I LOVE color but when I see pictures like you have shown, I love that too??
ReplyDeleteOh lisa, these pictures are just heaven!

These are all so gorgeous and I never tire of taupe either. The last one is a little too trad for me too. I'd love a padded headboard - maybe a tufted one. :)
ReplyDeletethanks for your lovely birthday wishes! xo
All I can think of is how dirty this would all get with 3 boys or men in the house, especially the headboard and then how do you clean it. Or is it just Craig that eats and spills in bed. Great color for the walls though. Kay
ReplyDeleteOh and ikea for big, inexpensive art or have Levi and Grant make you something :) Kay
ReplyDeleteLOL! Luckily Tom does not eat in our bed. So I don't have to worry about spills. I thought I would Scotch Guard the fabric so if something did get on it hopefully I could clean it off.
