I didn't mention the tragedy in Connecticut in my last blog post
because I needed some time to think and reflect.
I first heard the horrifying news on my car radio on Friday.
Ever since I refuse to watch the news. I know it will just be too much.
I am praying and praying for all the victims families and loved ones.
What can get us through a time such as this?
Holding close to Jesus. Get out of the darkness and cling to the Light.

I was at church today and while we can worship God anytime, is always such a treasure to worship with my brothers and sisters in Christ.
Tears were often streaming down my face this morning and the verse that kept repeating in my head over and over was "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Jn 16:33
 Praise Him!
Jesus is our comforter, He can give you peace that is beyond our comprehension,
and He is our Savior!
So dear friends go to Him, cling to Him.
He will be there for you!

  1. Amen! Thanks for your post today..

  2. Lisa, I also appreciate your post. I have such a heavy heart for those families.

I have faith that God is in control and Jesus has his arms wrapped around those little ones in heaven. It is what keeps me going.

We are doing a blogger day of silence on Tuesday in support for the families. If you want more information, I did a short post on my blog.

  3. We saw what happened in Newtown, here, in France. And we think too about all those families who are living such a tragedy. No word could express how we feel for them.

  4. Had to turn off all news media for the day...just couldn't take it. So much better to simply pray for the families and as you said, to rest in the LORD.

On a less somber note, I updated my muffin recipe post to include the chopped apple (yes, just one...) -- thanks so much for letting me know!

  5. I LOVE the nordic look!
    it is so clean
so pretty Lisa..wanted to stop in and say hi:)
praying your Christmas is full of JOY and PEACE...xo

  6. I found out about this tragedy while at the hairdresser's, they turned the TV on...I haven't watched the news since then, I don't think I could have made it because without watching I was still filled to the brim with sadness. I think everyone in the world is just so sad! Jesus is in control. Amen!
