Gray & White Easter Table

I've had this idea for a tablescape for Easter all month, but just haven't had a chance to put it together.
Since I was running out of time I decided to just put together and photograph bits and pieces
of the table for you.

What kicked off the idea for this tablescape was finding this pretty gray and white table runner at T.J. Maxx.
Gray isn't typically what you see at Easter time, but I decided to run with it.

For my centerpiece I grabbed my white tray from Ikea because everything looks better on a tray.
On top a Pottery Barn lantern and white flowers placed in a gray toned basket.
Finally I added the cutest bunnies ever, which I found at a local store.
I love the vintage look that they have.

When I started thinking about Easter I checked out my Pinterest board and I kept noticing images I'd pinned where flowers were placed inside an egg shell.
I found tiny terra cotta pots from JoAnne's and painted them gray and white.
I cracked open the top of an egg, drained and washed it, and placed some allysum flowers inside.

Allysum flowers smell so nice, but they aren't overpowering.
If you find the plants when they are nice and small you could place the whole thing, dirt and all,
into the egg shell.
But my allysum was getting leggy so I cut it and am using the egg as a vase.

Did you notice anything else new?
My new Kubu chair.
I am so excited!!
I have been drooling over these chairs for a while.
I want a pair, but World Market didn't have two and let me buy their display model.
I sure hope they get more in!
I plan to use them in my family room, but it will be fun to occasionally pull them up to the table.

Happy Easter To You All!!

  4. Okay, where to begin . . . love the chair! I also like the whole gray and white theme for your table. The place settings are so pretty and I would not have thought to put the egg a terra cotta pot - ingenious! I may steal this idea! So much easier then trying to find egg cups. Hope you are having a wonderful week!

  9. This is beautiful, Lisa, and a nice change from all of the spring pastels we see this time of year. I love everything on trays, too, a nice trick to "ground" things. I have to try the egg vase, too!

Love your tablecloth and that picture is awesome. Good for you scoring the chair, I hope you get another one!

    Happy Easter!

I'll have to re-look now! I think your grey color is just fine for Easter. I love grey anyway (as you know). Love your swiss cross pillow too. Remember I have that one too? I love how yours looks in the kuboo chair.
