A Rustic French Barn House in Texas

I know you are going to love this amazing home on Possum Lake in Texas.
The owner told her architect she wanted the house to look like two old barns were put together.
French barns!

Be.still.my.heart!!!
The living room is magnificent!
It truly is my dream room with all the things I love; old wood, old stone, plaster and coarse linen!

Crates of 17th century rubble were used for the walls.
The floors are from a French stable.

The bulls head panel in the kitchen is from a French butcher shop.

I adore this kitchen!!
The kitchen counter tops used to be floors in a cathedral.
Can you even imagine!

Old Italian shutters were used for the cabinet doors.

The master bedroom is very grand, but still has a cozy feel.
How wonderful it must be to wake up to a view of the lake.

I had to show you one of the bathrooms in the house.
An old factory wok bench now holds the sinks.
So cool!

Sit under this pergola and be transported to the European countryside!

The patio has a built in fire pit and sits on the lake.
Yummy!
