4th of July Decorating

I just love decorating my home for holidays.
It makes the place feel so festive.
For the upcoming 4th of July holiday I decided to decorate my entry, living room and part of thedining room.
All three areas are seen when you first enter my home and I hope it gives a fun welcome to guests.

I recently found a new headboard for my youngest son on Craigslist so I took the old one and decided to use it as a backdrop behind the couch.
I've been saving the banners for a year just waiting for the 4th of July.
I got them from Target in the party section.
The blue and red ones are sold separately and I just chose to mix them.

On the table I mixed some vintage red and blue books I've found at thrift stores and used a small pitcher filled with little flags.
I made a criss cross of tape on the top of the pitcher to make the flags stand up.
Floral foam would work even better, but I didn't have any on hand and didn't feel like making a special trip to the store.

A white couch is such a great background for changing things out for the different holidays and seasons.
On the couch now are some cheery pillows.
The flag pillow is from World Market.
I was thrilled to find the red striped pillows at Target recently.
I can use them for the 4th, Valentine's day and more.

Moving on to my entry way which I recently gave a makeover.
Another white background which makes for ease in switching out my decor when ever the mood strikes.

I found this fun bag in the Dollar Spot at Target (I think it was $5).
You could make it into a pillow too.

The wood star is also from the dollar spot (don't you just love that section?).
It was gray and I chose to paint it red.

Next to the little entry way is an table that is across from my dining room.

I have to share how I made this large scale art work hardly any money.
I found the poppy clip art on The Graphics Fairy website and had Staples print it as a 24x36 engineer print.
 It only cost around $3.50!
The frame is from Hobby Lobby.
I did the same thing at Christmas time, but used a print from another site.

I had a hard time finding red flowers, but when I found these I was pretty happy because they look a little bit like fireworks.

My vintage minnow bucket is perfect for the 4th with it's red lettering.

Thanks for stopping by .....
I hope you all have a safe and fun filled 4th of July holiday!
