Master Bathroom Reveal!~ORC Week 6

Well I barely made it, but I finished my bathroom makeover!
On the day I needed to take photos Texas had one of its few rainy, gray days.
So I didn't have the natural light I needed, but I did get to wear fuzzy socks, so that was a plus.

Here is a reminder of where we started.
Orange wood cabinets, mirrors that were too small, no hand towels and no art work.etc

And after...
The cabinets got a coated with bright white paint and received new hardware.
I didn't notice until it was too late that one of the handles is a bit wonky in the photos. I still need fix that!
I also a got  lattice rug so our footsies are toasty on the cold tile floor.

My husband's sink was a bland spot...

I hung a towel ring on the wall and got some pretty towels.
A sweet little fern print hangs above it.

You can also see the larger mirrors I hung above the sinks.
Boy, was that a scary job.
I took lots and lots of measurements and those mirrors are heavy.
I felt like a ran a marathon when I was finished with that job!

Here's my sink. You can see the old mirrors.
I also had no hand towel and a big empty wall.

Boy was is it tricky to find artwork for this wall!
That darn light switch is in the way for so many pieces I tried.
Ideally I would have liked to have hung the fern prints lower on the wall, but it just wasn't possible.

Despite the slightly odd placement, I do love the fern prints in weathered wood frames!

I found the cutest French farmhouse soaps for the space.
Sometimes the little things can make you so happy.

On the other side of the room is the bath tub where a rustic homemade sign hangs.

Our little powder room got prettied up too.

To be honest this was not a fun makeover with lots of painting and installation, but the work was worth it.

I am really loving how light and bright the space is now!

  5. I love it, Lisa!!! I totally know what you mean about the placement of those pesky light switches. It's so hard to work around them sometimes. I have a "thing" for pretty soap dispensers and I love this one! You did such a great job!

  8. Lisa, your bath and beauty room is completed and I bet you look for reasons to enter this room just to check out the beauty you created. Wow! The transformation gave it all the right kind of rightness it needed, and how beautiful it is. The fern prints in a weathered wood anchors the new white, it's always a good thing to add a little rustic age in a room.

You did a great! Job and now it's a powderroom to love.

Thank you for your beautiful visit
A beautifully inspiring weekend to you my dear.
