Valentine's in the entry and living room.

Wow, valentine's day is tomorrow and I almost didn't get these pictures up in time.
Better late than never, I guess!

My entry way is pretty in pink and full of bargain finds.
The straw bag is a thrift store find.

I also scored finding two unfinished wood hearts at the thrift store.

I painted the hearts and then used Mod Podge to adhere scrap book paper on top.
You'll see the other heart in my living room.

The little arrow was a Christmas ornament I got for 75% off after Christmas.
The "Hello" print was $6.00 at Hobby Lobby and it's going to be getting a makeover soon.

Moving onto the living room.....
I decided to go with romantic red.
I started by making a simple wall hanging using a stick, red and white baker's twine and red and white hearts.

I started the wall hanging one night, but didn't have time to finish.
When I got up in the morning all the hearts had been ripped to tiny shreds.
Hmmm, WHO could have done that?

Stay away silly cat!!!

I recently found this faux vintage tin box at the thrift store and thought it would be perfect for a valentines display since it has a sweet, romantic look.
I had hoped to fill it with fresh flowers, but the grocery store florist just hasn't had anything I like lately.
So faux topiary it is.
You can see I used my other thrift store heart in this display.

Here is a close up of the scrapbook paper I used on the living room heart.
I also lined this one with black paint.

It is a sweet, simple look that I really find myself gravitating towards more and more.

One more look at this side of the room and then we'll check out the other side.

Another heart banner! Luckily my cat hasn't discovered this one.....yet!

Have a happy valentine's day! 💕💕💕

  2. You have so many cute ideas, Lisa! I love the wall hanging. I've always wanted to make a little work of art with a branch. The scrapbook paper on the heart is precious. I really never decorate for Valentine's Day. Is it too late?!
