Spring Home Tour + day 3 & 4 links

Howdy folks!
Are ready for lots and lots of photos?
Oh good, I was hoping you'd say "yes".

Before I begin I want to say thank you to Katie @ Let's Add Sprinkles for putting together this spring tour.

Two years ago I saw this bunny picture on somebodies Instagram page and loved it so much, but I had no idea where to find it.
Then last year I stumbled upon it and it was 75% off. Yay!
I decided to put in my entry way along with another after season bargain find.
The bunny dish looks like a vintage glass piece, but it's actually plastic.

In the living room I decided to go with a neutral, romantic look with lots of cozy pillows to sink into.

I looked through my Easter box in storage and I was so excited to find my bunny print burlap pillow cover.
I had forgotten about it.
I found the wooden bunny garland at Target's Dollar Spot and thought the color went perfectly with the pillows.

Across from the couch  I put together a simple Easter/Spring vignette.

The large poppy picture is from The Graphics Fairy.
I had Staples print it as an engineer print.
The large 24x36 size makes a statement and the fact that it is black and white means it's easy to change out colors and looks.

I then I filled some brown glass bottles with Anacacho Orchid tree branches.
I have a tree in my yard  in bloom and it is so pretty and smells wonderful.

The large wood bunny is from the thrift store and I painted it to give it a more Nordic look.

In the dining room I'm all about lavender.

I had to visit a lot of nurseries and call a lot of stores to find lavender this early.

But I had a vision I wanted to bring to life.
So I had to travel Trader Joe's.
I was so happy to find it and now I can plant it in my garden.

A sweet, simple place setting.

I found a table runner for $3.00 in Target's Dollar Spot and loved the lace edge, so I decided to make
 it into napkins.

And why did I need lavender plants so much?
Because weeks ago I found these little nests and I decided to paint the eggs lavender.
Originally I planned to set my table using some gorgeous Texas Mountain Laurel blooms from my back yard.
(they look like Wisteria)
But then we had a tornado warning and crazy wind and my flowers were ruined.

Across from the dining room I brought out my three tier tray which I filled with bunnies, Easter eggs, pink flowers and herbs.
To bring in more spring color I used vintage glass.

I love the vintage looking bunnies.

In the family room I decided to go with a gray and white Easter look.
Gray and white? Kind of weird for spring.
Well my winter mantel was gray and I've really liked it so I decided to just tweak it for spring.

I added this bunny that looks like a vintage chocolate mold, but it's actually plastic.
I found it at Hobby Lobby last year.
I also added this gray and white felt bunny garland that I found at .....Target's Dollar Spot (OK this getting embarrassing).

I love this galvanized bucket, wait until you see how it started out.

Cool, right!

Near the fireplace is my duck egg blue armoire.
I draped another bunny garland on the doors.

I think you know where I got it from ;)
The bunnies were cardboard and I painted them lavender and glued on cotton balls.

Whew, you made it to the end, but don't stop here be sure to visit these lovely ladies too!

  5. do you have instructions for painting the eggs? I don't see a line on them - they're not the plastic eggs that you fill?

    1. The little eggs were glued to the nests when I bought them, so I just used a small brush and some acrylic craft paint and painted the eggs, trying my best not to get any paint on the nest. After the lavender paint dried I put a tiny bit of black paint on an old toothbrush and flicked it on the egg to give it the speckled look. Hope this helps!

  8. Lisa,
I found some of the nicest wooden eggs in the Target dollar bins this Spring and am leaving them unpainted for a neutral look. Now, I'm wishing I had bought more. Trader Joe's is definitely on my list for a visit to see what plants and flowers they have this Spring. Your lavender touches are perfect for Easter.

  9. Lisa, your decor is really pretty. I bought 3 lavender plants at Trader Joe's a few weeks ago, but put them on the mantle. We forgot they were there and they died! I was so mad at myself. Fortunately the 2 plants outside from last year are doing well. Your Duck Egg Blue armoire is beautiful. One of my favorite colors too

  11. You have so many cute Spring decorations! From the bunnies and the birds nests to the garland on the fireplace. You've done a great job bringing Spring touches to your home! I like your grey and white colorscheme. No need to justify it. I'm a neutral gal myself. Every time I try to venture into color, I always come right back!

  15. Oh, it's all so pretty! I love that you painted the eggs lavender. What a difference it made. Target dollar spot does have so many cute things. I rarely make it there before it's all picked over. I love how you painted the cardboard ones and added the tails.
